Slacking

So I am the world's worst about slacking off on things. Like this blog! Well at least I have not been slacking on my goals! I am down almost 5 pounds BUT I have lost inches. I comfortably can wear the next size smaller. I have started using a personal trainer who basically tells me what to eat when and what exercises to do on a daily basis. She is amazing! Her pricing is great too. You all should check her out at her site here!

To help me stay on track I have also found a lady close to me who preps meals for weight loss and fitness competitions. I pay $60 a week and she gives me 10 healthy meals. The protein, carb and veggie portions are exact to what my trainer has told me to eat. It works great for me because my husband works nights and I always have too much food leftover when I cook without him home so we just toss in the trash. At least this way I only spend $6 a meal and all my foods are fresh and ready to be reheated. It is great.

Social Sunday

1. Favorite breakfast food -  My favorite thing to have for breakfast everyday would be eggs benedict. Do I get it? No. I couldn't even tell you how to make it. Haha. I have traveled high and low looking for a local resturant that makes it and have yet to find one. IHOP if your reading this, please add to your menu! ;)

Plexus Results

So not sure if it is because of the Plexus Slim or because I have added cardio but I am down 4.5 pounds!! So excited! I think it has a little to do with both. For obvious reasons the running I have taken up has helped me. The Plexus Slim I have noticed just helps me kind of forget about food. I used to be the worst snacked. Seriously I was one of those that could sit on the couch and without noticing eat a whole large pizza and still be "hungry". Not healthy at all and my son was seeing that. I don't want him to grow up and be like that. He loves to eat his fruits and veggies and go run the mountain with mommy so I want to be what he remembers about me. So much better. But also, the Plexus Slim helps when I do eat, I feel full much faster. It's great.

The Happiness Project Giveaway

For Christmas I asked my mom to get me The Happiness Project. It is a great book about how to live your life happier and to the fullest. This book has a chapter for each month. So far I have just been following the book along each month. For example I have read January and February but that is it. I don't want to overwhelm myself. This book is great. Even though I am only two chapters in I honestly feel happier. The first chapter is about organizing your home and life. I couldn't tell you how much easier my life is now that everything is organized and where it should be. I really just loved this book. She has one about making life happier at home I think I am going to get that one this weekend and start on it.

Day 2 of Plexus Slim

I started Plexus Slim yesterday. I feel great! I feel less bloated and I have a little extra energy. So nice. I was able to clean house yesterday, looking at my upcoming courses for school, blog work and play with my little guy. Feeling accomplished for sure.

When I woke up, I did my usual. Stepped on the scale. I don't know why I do this to myself. I had not lost any weight. Obviously, I mean it has only been one day. I decided I would not get discouraged as I just felt so much better. I mixed up my drink and drank it while I did my mile on the treadmill. I was able to get it down to 18 minutes. Haha. Pretty sad I know but yesterday I did it in 20. That is 3 MPH on the buttons. I want to get it down to 10 minutes and then I will add a mile on. I know the second mile won't be a 10 mile one but I figure I need to start somewhere. Pretty proud of myself for cutting off 2 minutes. I may go back and do another one when my little guy takes his nap.

Welcome

Hey everyone! I am Amanda and this will be our journey to try and live the way we want. We always have so many goals and so many things to do but we never seem to do them or try them. I am ready to live life to the fullest.

Some of  my short term goals are:
*Loose 20 pounds
*Run a 5k with my husband
*Learn to cook
*Go back to college and finish with a bachelors degree
*Read more often
*Be more of a Godly wife.

As I get this blog going I will elaborate more on what exactly I want from each one of these goals. I am welcoming you all into my crazy world and hopefully some of you will be able to relate. :) I used to be the type of person that if I didn't like something I would just change it. No point in settling. Something happened down the road and I feel like I have become "lazy". Yea I don't like it, but I am not doing anything about it. Pretty lame, huh?
